What do Teddy Bears and Thanksgivng have in common ? ???? Think Hard on this one ???? —Both have stuffing.   :) –pitiful right –can you think of a better one at 7 am on a Sunday morning ? I was just thinking, after reviewing this “funny” that I will share in just about 2 hours or so at the beginning of GraceView morning worship service, how much you and I have in common with both Teddy Bears and Thanksgiving . –Stuffing too! We are so full of the “stuff” thrown at us everyday living in this place we call “the world”.  We wonder why we dont have the courage and passion to go share Christ with our neighbor next door or take a minute or so at the mall during this busy season and somehow plant a seed about Christ. The stuffing has made us so full of ourselves–that passion and drive have been so suppressed–we waddle around like a fat turkey. And–that is what we are so often. God give me courage and attitude this year starting this Christmas –to take all the stuffing I can out of my life so that I am salt and light. What about you? Too much stuffing ?

Decide to right and just do it! These words sound simple and righteouss, but making the decison amd acting on it before it becomes cold is another thing. This is all so common in our faith journey. There is always a cost in doing right. Yesterday–after 5 days of being lazy–I got back to my regimented exercise at the gym and a healthy diet. Hard to do -yes. But the after taste of doing it was so exhilirating and rewarding. We put things off until tomorrow that should be done today. It’s called procrastination. Maybe it’s going the extra mile in sharing Jesus with a co-worker or a friend–maybe even a family member. It is usually not that we are afraid of making them “uncomfortable”–but rather–we are afraid of making ourselves “uncomfortable”. Maybe its spending more time at the foot of Jesus in His word and less time reading the blogs and opinions of everyone else who thinks they have a corner on doing christianity ? Whatever it is for you–start today! Decide to do right–and as an old preacher said–”Do right-till the stars fall!” And-remember -”doing right” is not just the direction of your moral compass–it includes these areas of procrastionation. The scriptures say–”To Him who knows to do good, and does not do it–it is sin.” Let’s go for it–today! :)

Thousands of Americans including a large percentage of Christians are asking for a “king” this election day-to deliver America –and the world for that matter out of her crisis. God’s people in the Old Testament did the same thing. As a result-Saul became King. The people turned their hearts and allegiances from Jehovah to a King elected by Man, so they could “be like the other nations”. The cry from the liberal left has been that we mold ourselves as a country to “fit in” and “to appease” the nations. This has never been God’s pattern -”to fit or blend in”. His people have always set a higher standard of Truth. God bring us to our knees even if it means through the election of a Man we deem as not fit for office! We too as a nation have turned our backs on the God of Freedom that established this nation “under God”. We have traded that freedom for the enslavement of the phylosophies of man that are controlled by the god’s of this world. God’s king for His people is none other than Jesus as Lord. When we, as His people ,turn back to Him in genuine repentance and faith, and our churches once again become a flame for righteousness -we then-if not too late-will see America become a great nation once again. The Good news–God is in control–and we as beleivers are on the winning side. Make sure YOU are a genuine born-again Christ follower. If you are –the fruit will be evident to convince you and others you are. And–if there is any clarity in all of this–we know the stage is being set for the great deception of the Anti-Christ. Thank God–we will be raptured before that terrible day of tribulation.
