The week is coming to an end with a new president in Office. Many believe he has the answers to the crisis’ we are facing as a nation. And-hopefully, Him and his adminstration can make a difference. As Christ followers, we are commissioned to pray for him. As Americans, our duty is to be a voice and an active participant in the political process individually. The business of the church is to integrate into the world with a life changing message that has the power to generate light and salt in a dark and wicked world. The days ahead look grim in many ways, but God’s plan for the ageas has not been lost. He is Alpha and Omega and everything in between. Therefore our confidence is in His sustaining power in the life of all believers to keep us strong until that day He comes again.
Happy 2009! Another year-many more opportunities to make a difference in a world that needs HIM so desperately. And–another list -to make –goals–and vision casting. I don’t say that with dread because frankly–I like new beginnings and fresh starts. Always have. I’m committed to the long Distance as a Christ follower, but seasons of “re-thinking- and re-charging” are always welcome at the doorpost of my simple and limited mind. I believe God gives us these opportunities of new starts to refresh our priorities and to add and delete what is important for doing His business–and hopefully that is our goal. I charged the GraceView congregaion last week with the mission of following Christ more closely than ever before. This week I will continue this thought of “A FRESH START” challenging us all to have a greater and stronger God View ion our lives this new year. The events of the last year that have produced major global crisis’ are only opportunities to trust HIM more and share HIM more. So–get out your pen and paper–get on your knees–and listen to HIM as He shares His vision and His gaols with you for 2009!
