As of yesterday, there are 18 staff members from the Florida Baptist Convention who live and minister in Haiti who are yet to be accounted for since the earthquake. Florida Baptist have been instrumental in starting 890 churches throughout Haiti. SBC disaster relief Teams are scheduled to go to Haiti soon and a Disaster Assessment Team will be arriving there shortly to maximize the effectiveness of SBC disaster relief initiatives. Let’s pray there will be a harvest of souls for Christ in the midst of a country ridden with the influence of the enemy. We are thanking the Lord for the safety of 2 friends, one who was my Music Pastor while I was in high school, who were found safe there in Haiti as well as several Men from my parents church who had just left Haiti 3 hours before the earthquake hit. It is a small world ! And -it is getting close to “the day of the Lord” no doubt.
Good Morning GraceView Family and Friends. Today is an opportunity to blaze a new trail ! It could be for you an opportunity to speak Jesus into someone’s life somehow. It may be beginning down the trail of personal discovery in the Scriptures-blazing a new trail for the Holy Spirit to work fresh in your heart. It may be Fanning The Flame-asking God to Fan the Flame hotter and brighter in your commitment of every agenda in your life. You may be in some pit. Today is the day to make the decision to not waller in the past or stay on the bed of discouragement but realize today is the day of change, and for freedom from the pit! Ask God to Fan The Flame. Ask Him to bless you TODAY and enlarge your territory–as Jabez did. Those who seek Him will find him! And remember a quote I shared yesterday from The Traveler’s Gift, “A Person who moves neither to the left nor right is destined for mediocrity. When faced with a decision, many people say they are waiting on God But understand, in most cases, God is waiting on me!”. Selah ! –blessings , pastor robbie
A little nugget from tomorrows message: ” A person who moves neither left nor right is destined for mediocrity. When faced with a decision, many people say they are waiting for God. But I understand, in most cases,God is waiting for me! ” -from THE TRAVELERS GIFT by Andy Andrews. Great read! I’ll add this quote to my message “Trail Blazzin Fire” that I’ll be giving tomorrow. Great worship planned. Home Groups start back up tomorrow night. If you are new to GraceView and would like to join a group, let our church office know asap and we will have you linked up to a group ! Have a productive Saturday. Get in the word as possible, and prepare for God’s moving at GraceView tomorrow. Blessings – robbie. —oh –and Men –if you have not yet signed up for our annual Men’s Conference to Woodstock, I would love for you to do so by tomorrow.
Corrie Ten Boom once said, “There is no pit too deep that God’s love is not deeper.” She of all people knew this to be true. Study her life sometime. Awesome thought, Awesome Truth, Awesome LIFE LINE! J I was reminded of this when I saw Joel Jackson Jr. yesterday. He was one of the 7 young people in the horrible car accident about 3 weeks ago. Doctors, family and friends were braced for his home going. Miraculously, He lives and is breathing on his own. However, he lays still, able to communicate with his eyes, but whether or not he will be able to move about, and survive the accident long term, only God knows. His Mom was comforting Him and encouraging him, all along while I know her heart was so heavy with the pain and suffering her son would have to go through in days ahead. I will share this quote from Corrie Ten Boom today sometime with Joel’s Mom and Dad. Perhaps there is someone you could share it with. This is what we call pouring life into others and ministering God’s grace in people’s time of need. What a Life line: “There is no pit too deep that God’s love is not deeper.” – LIFE LINES for living today!
Blessings-
Good Thursday Morning ! Went out first thing to see if I needed snow chains and snow blower. Oh well–no such luck. Cold weather and no snow –what is this ?
may have some tonight though ! Wish I was in the grocery business today for the run on milk and bread ! What would it be if we all anticipated the coming of Christ – the Rapture of the church – our last day in this world as it is today like we often do a snow storm ?
A big thank you to all who were able to make it to LIFE LINES last night. Next Week WE WILL BE DONE AT 8:00 ! Unless ths Spirit leads differently
–Great start! Life Line #1 for followers of Christ – ” A GREAT DAY IS COMING” ! Paul let us know the importance of “encouraging and lifting each other up” with this Life Line that promises Jesus is coming back. Of course I love the contemporary music we do, but I loved the old songs we did last night – “What a Day That Will Be” says it all! So–child of God, today we work for the day is coming! –we wake up and suit up for living today to Glorify God in everything we do. Living today in His abundant power, grace, and purpose of our life this day–Thursday, January 7,2010! We may not need the snow blowers or chains, but we do need to be busy about the Father’s business of glorifying Him by living FOR Him and “throwing out the life lines” today to those who are sinking and drifting with no hope. What could be a better purpose for Living Today than this.
As you go about our Fathers business at your own place of work or school, I pray for you a day full of energy, passion, and fulfillment as you serve Him preparing –not for the snow tonight- but for That Great Day of The Lord! –blessings -robbie
