“If we don’t discipline ourselves . . .”

Struggling with something ? –Someone said – “If we don’t discipline ourselves, the world will do it for us.” — I find this so true. One of my biggest struggles this year has been eating healthy and exercising consistently because of my fast paced life. I’m guessing this is one of the top struggles of most Americans today because of the unhealthy elements in our processed foods today, and the fast pace of our lives that gives us continual excuses why not to ‘train’ and ‘protect’ our bodies more often. — —-Another struggle I have had this year is not slowing down enough to listen to the Spirit as much as I need to — daily. And when I am not listening as I ought, those are the times my OCD of controlling all aspects of my life kick in. This too begs discipline of my priorities and passions. ….Then, ..There’s the matter of anxiety, mental exhaustion, and depression that has hit everyone of us from time to time. This state of the mind and heart is a matter of discipline as well. That is– disciplining ourselves to go immediately to the embrace of Abba Father in those times the world speaks negativity and defeat into our lives. We know the doctor–the great physician! He is Jehovah Rapha – Our Healer. If we allow the worlds influence through so many different avenues to drive right into our minds and hearts, we don’t stand a chance. So–this statement is so true. “If we don’t discipline ourselves, the world will do it for us.” …..Whatever it is for you and me, we have a loving Father who intervenes as we allow Him space, to help us discipline our priorities and passions for growing Higher – Deeper & Wider- in our personal lives. —– Be thinking now of what you can give over to loving Father now and in 2016 to help you discipline in such a way as to bring total Victory in your life. It doesn’t just happen. But He is faithful! “Faithful is He Who calls you Who also will do it.” —Robbie
